Casa del ALBA Banja Luka is the project that originated from many years of support for the people of Latin America and the Bolivarian Revolution in general, through the exchange of cultural values between the Southern Slavs and Republic of Cuba and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The organizing committee has made the necessary preparations for the start of the registration process of the cultural center, the beginning of cooperation with certain subjects in the field of culture and education, planning the registration and operation for the beginning of the next year. The Organizing Committee of Casa del ALBA Banja Luka accepted to be a member of NPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 18th World Festival of Youth and Students, in Ecuador 2013, primarily because the NPC members share the same values as the Committee, and especially since the festival is held in Ecuador where, if we would possibly be present, we would establish necessary contacts with the organizations that are important to our work, and from direct contact gain the necessary experience of action. Casa del ALBA Banja Luka welcomes all participants of the Festival and wants a successful operation.
In 2011 we organized salsa school. About 40 people attended the school, with 10 people being regular dancers, who developed good salsa dancing skills. Among salsa dance, we organized social movie nights where we presented movies that deal with social issues. One of the movies we played was about Cuba, called “Commandante” by Oliver Stone, about life of Fidel Castro, as well as the movie about the volunteer work brigade to Cuba, which was made by our comrade who participated in the brigade in 2007. The event was covered by the local television (RTRS). We have also gathered signatures for the release of Cuban Five, in global effort to influence the government of the USA to release five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters…
